The Environmental Safety Section adheres to all relevant governmental laws and regulations in managing:
  • Safety organization and personnel
  • Licensing for toxic and hazardous chemical operations
  • Waste declaration and disposal
  • Laboratory inspections
The university’s safety achievements include:
  • A Ministry of Education-funded hazardous waste storage facility (2003)
  • Annual lab inspections during winter and summer breaks
  • 12 laboratories received three-star certifications (2006)
  • First-class evaluations in Engineering Construction Safety (2007)
