The Environmental Safety Group oversees the safety and health management of laboratories and internship sites at the university. Established in February 2005, the university’s Environmental Safety and Health Committee—convened by the principal—meets at least once every three months following relevant laws and regulations.

Notable achievements:

In 2003, funding was secured from the Ministry of Education to build a complete hazardous waste storage facility.

Regular laboratory inspections are conducted during winter and summer breaks.

In 2006, 12 laboratories were awarded three stars in the Laboratory Safety and Health Certification Program.

In 2007, the university received first-class evaluations for both “Engineering Construction” and “Construction Safety and Health.”

In 2018 (ROC Year 107), the school was certified under the Ministry of Education’s Campus Safety and Health Management System.
